About us

The Stable House was built in 1888 as the Victorian stable block to Kilworth House built in 1880, in North Kilworth, Leicestershire.

In 1970 the building was converted into the unique family home it is today.  It is set in 20 acres of grazing and woodland with a separate 3 bed 1970’s cottage, wooden stables, barns, and disused Victorian Kitchen Garden and woodland (8 acres) with greenhouses and outbuildings.  There is also a horse ménage and a tree house, and plenty of places to walk and explore, as well as a Barista run Coffee Club, donations from which go to support an orphanage in Burkina Faso, West Africa.

In 2015 the Logue family started a journey of opening up their family home for others to enjoy.

"Our Vision is to create a space where people can come to receive the Love and Peace of God.

We prayerfully aim to host His Presence, wonderfully helped by the beauty of the building
built in 1888, and the magnificence of the mature trees within the 20 acres of land.
This is an Open Heaven."

Retreat, Rest, Relax, Restore

Are you tired?  Worn Out? Burned out on religion?  Come to Me.  Get away with Me and you’ll recover your Life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest.  Walk with Me and work with Me - watch how I do it.  Learn the unforced rhythms of Grace.  I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.  Keep company with Me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly”

Matthew 11:28-30  The Message translation
